These terms cover how coaches, parents, and players use Grassroot Coach to run a grassroots youth soccer team. They're written in plain language, not legal boilerplate. This isn't a substitute for legal advice, if you run a club and need a formal agreement for your own members, please have it reviewed.
What Grassroot Coach is
A tool for coaches to manage a squad: scheduling, attendance, substitution rotations, and player development notes. It's built for one team's day-to-day organization, not as a league or competition management system.
Accounts
You need an account to use the app. Coaches and club admins create teams and invite parents and players; a parent or player account only sees what its role is meant to see, described in the Privacy policy. Keep your login private and tell us if you think someone else has access to it.
Players who are minors
Most players on a grassroots youth team are minors. Player records (name, date of birth, position, attendance, development notes) are entered by a coach or a linked parent, never by the child directly, and a parent can ask their club's admin to review or remove what's recorded about their own child at any time.
Acceptable use
Use the app only for running your own team, and only enter player information you're actually authorized to hold, as a coach, club admin, or a player's own parent. Don't use it to harass, misrepresent, or share someone else's data outside the team it belongs to.
Coach and club admin responsibilities
Coaches and club admins are responsible for who they invite to a team and what they enter about a player. Grassroot Coach provides the tool; the club remains responsible for its own team's conduct and for meeting any obligations it has toward its members.
Availability
We aim to keep the app available and your data intact, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. Back up anything irreplaceable, like a season's growth reports, by downloading a PDF or a copy of your data from the Account page.
Limitation of liability
The app is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, Grassroot Coach isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from its use. Nothing here limits liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app changes. Meaningful changes will be reflected here with an updated date; continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the update.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
